To engage the Hispanic community of Southeastern North Carolina , the Miss Cape Fear Latina Organization will be hosting the 1 st annual Miss Cape Fear Latina beauty pageant.
Our main objective is to promote cross-cultural understanding. The Miss Cape Fear Latina beauty pageant will give this often-isolated Hispanic community an opportunity to share their countries' cultural expression through beauty.
The contestants in the pageant will share their unique cultural diversity through music, dance, native costumes, intelligence and personal beauty.
The pageant will strengthen the fraternal links between our communities and maintain the traditions of our diverse cultures. It will also provide an opportunity to our young Hispanic women, allowing them to make a difference in our communities and experience community involvement.
All net proceeds from the event will be used for education scholarship for the Hispanic community in the region. This event will reflect a philosophy of social conscientiousness and responsibility for the betterment of the entire community. It will showcase the Hispanic/Latino ideals, tradition, and culture while enhancing womanhood and family values.
